About me

My name is Joanne, I am 34 years old and I am an endurance athlete.  I’ve finished Ironman, multiple marathons…along with countless other road races and triathlons.

On February 3rd, 2015, six months to the day after finishing what i can only describe as the most amazingly painfully-beautiful-breath taking day of my life at Ironman Boulder…….my life, my future and any goals I had were flipped upside-down forever.


My name is Joanne and I have a grade 3 astrocytoma grade 4 glioblastoma multiforme brain tumour.

I don't know how this $h!t ended up in my head, but I'm pretty sure that it's because I'm suppose to do something good with it.....kind of like a super power.  I always wanted one of those.
